Dubai: The Beary’s Cultural Forum (BCF) UAE and its BCF Trust (Mangalore) will be holding its Annual Sports Day on Friday, the 22nd of January, 2016 at the Gulf Medical University’s Ground in Ajman. This was recently announced by the BCF - Dubai.

Over the years, the BCF Sports day has been synonymous with super exciting games, putting the best to test, has been a platform to promote talent and has also been recognized as among the most sought after events witnessing large gatherings of members of the Beary community in the U.A.E.

With its tagline this year being “As Exciting As Ever”, this year too the event promises to bring in a day filled with games, challenges, fun and entertainment for Men, Women and Children.

The BCF Cricket Trophy 2016 kicked off with its preliminary games on the 25th of Dec, 2015, and continues on the 8th of Jan, 2016, by when the Quarter finals and Semifinals will also be held. These will be held at the Al Baraha grounds in Deira (opposite Jesco Supermarket). The finals will be held in the morning of 22nd Jan, 2016 at the Thumbay Grounds, Ajman. More than 24 teams from across the U.A.E. have already enrolled for the tournament.

Other games to be held on the Sports day include Volleyball, Football, Kabaddi, Athletics, Tug of War, Junior Football and Indoor games such as badminton, Foosball, Billiards and many other exciting games for both seniors and juniors.

Ladies Games and events include: Cookery competition, Mehdi design competition, Athletics and other exciting challenges including games for children.

While the cricket finals will kick off at 7 AM, all other games will commence by 8 AM on the Sports Day.

Lunch and refreshments will be available at the venue.

The BCF Sports Festival promises to continue delivering the best possible platform to all Bearys in the UAE to exhibit their talents and also provide them with an opportunity to meet fellow Bearys, amidst a lot of fun and entertainment. Delicious lunch will be served at the Bearys Sports Festival with live cooking. Tea, coffee, snacks and cold drinks will be available throughout the day during the Bearys Sports Festival–2016.

During the event raffle draw prizes will be announced during the prize distribution. Several exciting prizes will be announced during the events.

There are many events and games for children and ladies. Children who are under the age of 5 years, 10 years and 15 years, can participate in running race, lemon & spoon, tele-match, three legged race etc. For Boys under 14, there are games like football, 100 Mtr running race, lemon & spoon, three legged race. For ladies, the Bearys Cultural Forum will be organizing cookery competitions in category which will include preparation BBQ delight and any Sweet dishes. For both the above categories of cookery competitions, high weightage will be given for presentation and taste. All the Beary ladies are invited to participate in cookery competition.

The event will be presided over by Dr. B.K. Yusuf, President of the Beary’s Cultural Forum, Dubai. Bcf Sports festival 2016 Chairman-Mr.Tanveer Abdul Razak and his team requested All Bearys along with their families have been cordially invited to attend and participate at the Bearys Sports Festival and help make it a grand success.
