Mumbai Sep 18: Ganesh Festival was celebrated in a grand scale all over Mumbai and various Tulu Kannadiga institutions celebrated annual Ganesh Festival.

G.S.B Wadala Ganapati: Grand Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated at Sri Rama Mandira Dwarakanatha Bhavan. This rich Ganesh fest was started in 1955 for the first time in Mumbai by the GSBs. They celebrated diamond jubilee celebration in the year 2014 and it is the world famous Ganapati. Many devotees waited anxiously to have Ganesha Darshan and this Ganesha has a name called Kanaka –Benaka or golden ganapati. This celebration will be over on the Ananth Chaturdashi day. N N Pal, M V Kini, Ullas D Kamat, govind S Bhat, Shubhash Pai, sunil Pai, Akshay Pai, Kamalaksha Saraf and others were present at this occasion.

Bunts Association Mumbai: Ganesha Chaturthi was celebrated in a grand scale at the Bunts Bhavan by the Bunts Association Mumbai under the leadership of- the president of the association Karnire Vishwanatha Shetty; and the executive president Bolnaduguttu Chandrahasa Rai. The chief priest Vidwan Aravinda Bannintaya conducted the rituals.

Suresh Shetty family participated in the Ganahoma. Harish Vasu Shetty, N C Shetty-executive president of the membership collection committee, Ravindranath Bhandary-executive president of cultural and literature committee, Bellampally Balakrishna Hegde-the executive president of the regional committees of Kurla-Bhandup, Bhujanga Shetty-executive president of the City regional committee, Varanga Praveen S shetty-the manager of the association, other office bearers, Bolnaduguttu Shweta Chandrahas, Kurla Divakar Shetty, K K Shetty, sharath Shetty, Shashikala N Shetty, Geeta R Shetty, and other devotees were present.

Mumbai Kannada sangha: Mumbai Kannada Sangha (R) which was founded about eight decades ago, also celebrated Ganapati festival by worshipping the Vighna Vinayaka. The priest Sanjeeva Acharya conducted the rituals. Gururaj S Nayan the president of the association, honorary chief secretary Satish N Bangera, S K Padmanabha the officer of the Pusstaka Bhandara were present at this occasion.

Mysore Association Mumbai: Gowri Ganapati was worshipped on behalf of Mysore Association Mumbai. Priest Srinivas Rao performed the rituals. Bhavani Bhargava, G S Nayak, Sudha Srinivas and others were present.
