Dubai: Kannadigaru Dubai an organisation for Kannadigas in Dubai, celebrated "Karnataka Rajyotsava" in a grand manner on Friday the 13th November, 2015, in association with Precious Parties & Entertainment LLC at J.S.S. International School, Al Barsha South, Dubai witnessed by full crowd auditorium comprising of Kannadigas from all over UAE.

The traditional decorated procession with tiger dance band and trumpets led the guests from outside the auditorium into the premises where the vibrant tiger dance was performed applauded by the audience.

Bhaghya Sadan Das & Vidya Shivakumar smilingly took over the stage in their own imitable style as masters of ceremony and carried on the days programme.

Soon the Guests were invited on to the stage with Zain Group of Hotels Owner Zafrulla Khan Mandya, JDS Leader & Ex-Minister Cheluvaraya Swamy, Suchitra Films & Cultural Academy Chairman K.V.R. Tagore, Crime Investigative Reporter of Suvarna News 24x7 Vijayalakshmi Shibaroor, M Square Engineering Director Mohd Mustafa, Alok Kumar of Green Shape Developers, Satheesha Venkataramana of Chilly Willy Trading & President of Sharjah Karnataka Sangha, Ravish Gowda, Owner of Fortune Group of Hotels, Shekar Reddy of Gulf Stream Co., Sarvotham Shetty President of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha, Shiv Kumar of JSS International School, Yogesh Dwarakish, Tennis Krishna, Mandya Ramesh, Roopa Prabhakar, Prashant, Manjubhashini, Darshini Manjunath & Humourist Sandhya Shenoy aligned on the stage along with the Members of Kanndigaru Dubai and lighted the auspicious lamp and inaugurated the programme.

The programme opened with the National Song of UAE & India a due honour followed by Kannada 'Nada Geethe' rendered by Sai Mallika & Uday, with full standing respects by audience. Later Shiva Kumar rendered the Ganesha prayer song in his melodious voice.

Laxmi Sooryakumar & Group presented a beautiful dance which raised the stage with applause from the audience. Classical Rhythms Group under the direction of Rohini Ananth presented a vibrant 'Khamsale dance' depicting the richness of the folklore of Karnataka which was loudly applauded. Followed was a dance presentation by Vijay Antony Group and all the participants were presented with Certificate in appreciation of their participation.

Later disciples of Nritya Vidhushi Darshini Manjunath who came all the way from India presented a beautiful dance 'Gananayaka' which was a classic one colourfully presented. Followed was 'Gaana Lahari' by Shiva Kumar & Group comprising of Sai Mallika & Uday who rendered soulful Kannada songs in their melodious voice.

Followed was formal stage programme with Zafrulla Khan Mandya, Ex-Minister Cheluvaraya Swamy, K.V.R. Tagore, Vijayalakshmi Shibaroor, Yogish Dwarakish, Mohd Mustafa, Alok Kumar, Satheesha Venkataramana, Ravish Gowda, , Shekar Reddy & Kannadigaru Dubai President Sadan Das on the dais. Sadan Das rendered the welcome speech and showed the video clipping of Ex-Prime Minister of India, Deve Gowda who was unable to attend the show following unexpected bad health. However he sent his wishes and support to the organisation through the video clip.

Kannadigaru Dubai had decided this year to honour a identified promoter of Kannada language and bestowed the award to the very famous Comedian, Actor, Director, Producer Dwarakish who was felicitated with "Kannada Ratna" Award. Member Basavaraj Salimat read out the introduction of Dwarakish while the clippings were flashed on the video projector showing various pictures of Dwarakish and with praise notes by actors Srinath & Shivaraj Kumar on the screen. Since Dwarakish was unable to attend the programme with his bad health condition, he sent a message on the video clipping thanking the organisers for the award and that he is sending his two sons Yogish & Sukesh to receive the award on his behalf. He congratulated and praised the good deeds the organisation for arranging such a good Kannada programme and promoting Kannada in this country. He also requested blessings so that it encourages him to give more service to Kannada Film Industry.

While receiving award Yogish briefed about the support his father received from the ace actors of Kannada, Dr. Raj Kumar, Dr. Vishnuvardhan and Hunasur Krishnamoorthy with whose encouragement Dwarakish could produce 49 successful Kannada Movies. While Kannada is disappearing in home town Karnataka, it is really appreciable to see that the Gulf Kannadigas keep raising the language in this part of the world which should be highlighted. He requested Kannadigas to keep promoting through whatever ways they could and that he will support them with whatever possible ways he could, he promised.

Later Dr. Mohan Kudur introduced the guests, Ex-Minsiter Cheluvaraya Swamy, K.V.R. Tagore, Reporter Vijayalakshmi Shibaroor, Artiste Ganesh Rai & Member Basavaraj Salimat for their service towards Kannada and honoured them with fruits, flower bouquet and memento. All the receivers of the honours spoke few words of appreciation in their own way.

The Kannadiga students who have excelled in their academic and honoured by Sheikh Hamdan Awards were invited on the stage and felicitated.

Member Mallikarjuna Gowda rendered the vote of thanks remembering all those who were responsible in presenting the days programme.

Darshini Manjunath and troupe performed another dance presentation followed by humorous speech by Sandhya Shenoy taking over the crowd with applause. Later Tennis Krishna, Mandya Ramesh, Manjubhashini, Prashant & Roopa Prabhakar presented a comedy skit which took the audience into laughter.

The programme concluded with lucky draw with Shashidhar & Hemalatha being lucky to receive the laptop computer prizes.
