Mumbai, Feb.20: The 12th Annual Sports Meet of Bunts Association was held on February 18, Sunday at Rajiv Gandhi District Sports Complex Stadium, Sion west, Dharavi. The president of bunts association, Mumbai- Padmanaba S. Payyade inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and expressed his views.

The event was held in the presidency of Advocate Subhash B. Shetty- President of Bunts association. Maharashtra government sports and youth welfare, Mumbai, Divisional Deputy Director N.B Mote was the Chief Guest. Trustees of Bunts association Raguram K Shetty, Sadananda R Shetty, Former President of the association Shyam N Shetty, Chairman of Jasmine Group, kalyan- Dr. Surendra V Shetty, Dr. R. N Shetty- Head of R.N Shetty Nursing home, Managing Administrative Director of Tunga Hospital Dr Satish B. Shetty, President of Jawab -Jaya Prakash Shetty and the Award winning Athelete K. Udaya Shetty were present in the dais as guests of honor.

N.B Mote, Dr. Surendra Shetty, Dr. Satish Shetty, Shyam Shetty, Dr. R.N Shetty expressed their views in the occasion and Subhash Shetty addressed the gathering by his Presidential Speech.

NKES school teacher Amarish Pateel and various associations of Mumbai Bunts led the NCC cadets march past along with band. Padmanaba Payyade received the salute. N. B Mote received the Torch brought by Saroj Shetty and formally initiated the sports meet by lighting the torch. Dr Satish Shetty inaugurated the event by releasing the balloons. Former President of women wing Saroja B. Shetty taught the Sports oath. Later the sports event began formally.

Chairman of the sports committee Suresh Shetty welcomed the gathering. Geetha Satish Shetty recited the prayer. Amrutha Shetty and Madhuraj Shetty introduced the guests and compered the program. Vice President of the association- Murali K Shetty, Honorable Gen secretary- CA Surendra K. Shetty, Honorable Gen Treasurer- CA Vishwanath S. Shetty, Joint secretary- Justice Gunakar Shetty, Treasurer- Shyam Sundar Shetty, President of woman’s wing- Sharada Shyam Shetty, Youth divisional president Charan R. Shetty honored the guests by presenting the bouquets.

Former Presidents of the association- N.C Shetty, Jayaram S. Malli, Jaya N. Shetty, Justice Anand V. Shetty, Justice Rathnakar V. Shetty, Justice Uppoor Shekar Shetty, the manager Ram Mohan Shetty Balkunje, Sports event organizer Keshav Alva and many others were present. Various Sports events were conducted for the people of all age groups. Tug of war competition for both men and women were held. Throw ball event was especially conducted for women. Vijay Shetty conducted all the sports events. During the event Guests of honor distributed the prizes and congratulated the prize winners.
