“Maunada Kitikiyolage” , “Mumbai Bimba” books released by Srajana

Mumbai June 27: “One can’t have Mumbai experience elsewhere. Because of this the writers of Srijana can lead such institutions and release the books. Srijana is doing a good job. Having such good writers and poets, let srijana develop creatively and become a boon for writers and poets. Learning is a continuous process for man. Let Srijana become a support” – said Manohar Tonse-Abudabi Kannada Sangha Honarary Secretary, President of the Billawara Balaga Abudabi and Journalist.

 

Manohara Tonse presided over the book release and Mahilabhivandana programme which was organized by “Srijana” institute of Kannada women writers’ association Mumbai, on Saturday at Samarasa Bhavan of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai.

A famous writer, scientist Dr.Vyasaraya Ninjur was present as a special guest. The Director of the sparrow company Dr C.S.Laxmi released the “maunada kitikiyolage” of Dr.Suneetha M Shetty and “Mumbai Bimba” of Srijana group. Durgappa Kotiyavar of Mumbai Kannada Department gave the introduction of the books. The editors of “Mumbai Bimba”- Dr Suma Dwarakanath, Shyamala Madhav and Padmaja Mannoora were present at the dais.

“In fact Kannadambe is really great to have eminent writers like Anantha Moorthy and Kuvempu. Their literatures have been translated to other languages. Through these translations I came to know about the Kannada literature. Suneetha Shetty’s service in the field of Kannada Literature is admirable. Kannada literature is abundant, and there is more and more I have to read and understand”- said Dr Laxmi.

Dr Ninjur said in his speech, -“ Tranlation, Trnscreation and Paraphrasing are three different things. My experience is more in advertisement field. In these days new words are getting translated. But a word is familiar to everyone; there is no need to translate that word. Let there be only one word. Now there is a need of scientific literature, you should concentrate on that also”.

In the programme the members of the Srijana group – Mitra Venkatraj- The literature prize winner of the Karnataka Sangha and Shyamala Madhav-Kuvempu Bhasha Bharathi Authority Honarary prize winner were felicitated and wished by Dr Suneetha Shetty. “I completed 60 years in Mumbai. I memorize those good days through this book “mounada kitikiyolage” which consists of 60 poetries” -said Dr Suneetha Shetty.

In this event Vani Ucchilkar, Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu, B.S.Kurkal, Advocate Vasantha Kalkoty, Arusha N Shetty, Jyothi sathish, Poornima S Shetty, Dr Karunakar Shetty, Saa.Daya, Dr. Girija Shastry, Dr K Raghunath, Hemlatha Amin, Padmanabha Sasihithlu, H.B.L.Rao, Chandrahasa Suvarna Shimanthooru, Kodu Bhoja Shetty, Narayana Shetty Nandalike, S.K.Sundar, Ramesh Shivapura, Dr Ishvar Alevooru, Kamalaksha Saraf, Shakunthala Prabhu and other writers were present.

Susheela Devadiga sang the prayer. Convener of the Srijana group Dakshayini Yadahalli delivered the introductory speech.J.P.Kusuma welcomed, intoduced the guests and presented the programme. Advocate Amita Bhagwath proposed the vote of thanks.
