CONCERT ON BASIC BELIEF AND SUPERSTITIOUS BELIEF CONDUCTED AT MUMBAI BY SAHITYA BALAGA

Mumbai: “No government should assault on people’s beliefs. Changing society in the form of legislation is impossible. Awakening education having good understanding that can relief people from cruel beliefs should be provided to people. Conflicts against people’s beliefs is no more needed”, said Prof. P. Shripathi Tantry, the retired Principal.

On the eve of its silver jubilee celebration on Saturday evening at Biillawara Bhavana of Santacruz (E), Sahitya Balaga Mumbai along with Billawara Association Mumbai conducted two days seminar on religious thinking on scientific grounds, basic beliefs and superstitious beliefs. While inaugurating this, Shripathi Tantry said, “All Brahmins are not non-vegetarians. Minister Pramod is making statements by listening to people who don’t know about religion and this is not fair. We should build our life through co-ordination. The belief of coastal people stands in the form of Naga. One section of the community should not have enmity against another section”.

He also said, “Spiritual field is becoming our belief nowadays. Though following them is impossible, we cannot say that all of them are superstitious beliefs. Beliefs which are accepted by all are the basic beliefs. Globally, there are more than 4000 religions. We are facing problems because of the foreigners who don’t understand India’s religions fully. We need to fight against all these obstacles, relieve ourselves from enmity theory and should build our life with co-ordination”.

Chancellor Prahladacharya Nagarahalli presided over the ceremony and said, “Vedas are the great assets of people. The allegations of people who don’t know about Vedas are much more. Foreigners neglect about their internal matters. Vedas are the expressions of global power. The system will be destroyed fully through fickleness”.

Avadhani Gundibail Subramanya Bhat delivered the speech and said, “If we know a thing as it is, tell others about it and examine it, it will become a belief that supports everything. We don’t have to think about traditional beliefs. If we lose our trust on beliefs, they have to undergo examinations. Beliefs that withstand against these examinations can win our trust. Man will be under pressure if he violates everything against global rule. Our ancestors have formulated principle rules to protect the welfare of the society on the ground that the vitality of God is like gold”.

Rig Veda Ganapati Durgaprasad Bhat paid his respect to Rishi tradition. The President of Mumbai Billawara Association – Nithyananda D Kotian welcomed the gathering. The President of Mumbai Sahitya Balaga – H.B.L. Rao delivered the introductory speech. The Secretary – S.K. Sundar proposed the vote of thanks. The Treasurer Y.V. Madhusudan Rao, Shashikala Hegde presented the programme.
