CLEANLINESS OF MIND IS THE SOUNDNESS OF HUMAN BEING: PROF. B.M. HEGDE

Mumbai, October 5: “We become unhealthy first when we develop envy, jealousy, anger, ego. etc. in us. We lose peace of mind. These negative thinkings affect our health. How we can be happy then? Cleanliness of mind is the soundness of human being. Hence, we will be healthy if our mind is pure”, said Prof. B M Hegde, the retired Vice Chancellor of Manipal University and the one who has been selected for Padmabhushan award, the best honor of India.

He spoke these words in a seminar about Holistic Living conducted by the nation’s renowned association of Bunts industrialists – Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Mulund Bunts Associations on Sunday at Muktananda auditorium of Bunts Bhavana at Kurla (E). Karnire Vishwanatha Shetty, the President of Bunts Sangha Mumbai inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

“By bothering about others, man who wants to have natural health and happiness becomes unhealthy first. Then, to maintain his physical condition, he finds many treatments and loses his healthiness, which is quite unfortunate. We will have healthy life if we control our mind, through which we can have peaceful and prosperous life. Medicine businesses have become the stocks of merchantability by pulling people towards ignorance in the pretext of science. Moreover, people are becoming ignorants through scientific inventions”, said Prof. Hegde.
