CLOSING CEREMONY OF SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATION OF RANGABHOOMI FINE ARTS

Mumbai, November 07: “The development of Tulu culture in Mumbai is a matter of pride. Since twenty five years, the service of Rangabhoomi in the field of culture is unique. The service of this kind of cultural association has given an opportunity for the exposure of Tulu culture. To retain our cultural heritage, the service of this association is significant. We all have come from Tulu culture and that is our life. Tulu culture is a role-model to the entire world. In India there are so many castes and creed, but we all should live in harmony” said U T Khadar, Minister for Food and Civil supplies, Government of Karnataka.

Mr. Khadar said these words, after releasing the Rangabhoomi souvenir. He was the chief guest of the Silver Jubilee celebration, held on Suday evening at Central Auditorium of SIDCO Exhibition centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

The Convener of the Silver Jubilee committee, Santhosh D Shetty presided over the function. Pernankila Haridas Bhat-the chief priest of Sri Ambika Adinatheshwara Mahaganapathi Temple inaugurated the stage programme by lighting the lamp.

Shashikiran J Shetty-the managing director of Al-cargo logistics Pvt.Ltd., Sadananda Shetty from Reliable builders, Puneeth Kumar Shetty-the Managing director of Abhyudaya Bank, Shankar B Shetty- Executive president of Mathrubhoomi Credit Society Ltd., Chandrashekhar Palethady- the president of Kannadiga Journalist Association, Rajkumar Karnad- the president of Ramaraja Kshatriya Mahila Mandal Mumbai, Suresh Shetty Yeyyady- the president of Karnataka Janapada Parishath of Maharashtra Unit were present as the chief guests of the programme.

Haridas Bhat blessed the association and said “let this association celebrate its golden jubilee and through the activities of this association and by the grace of God, the artistic form will grow even more”.

Senior Hotel Industrialist Shankar Shetty, Trustee Anni C Shetty, Ramesh M Pujary and V K Suvarna couples were honored by guests.

Indira Harish Shetty and group sang the prayer. Balakrishna Shetty welcomed and introduced the guests; Taranatha Shetty Puthuru delivered the introductory speech. Jagadish Shetty Panwel, Prabhakar Hegde, Deppaniguthu Chandrahasa Shetty, Raghu Mulya introduced the awardees. Anil Kumar Hegde compered the programme.

The joint secretary of Rangabhoomi Chandrahasa Shetty, Honorary Treasurer Indira S Shetty and other office bearers were present on the dias. As a part of cultural programme, the artists from various associations of Navi Mumbai exhibited the “Nrithya Vaibhava”. Members of the Rangabhoomi Association displayed the Tulu drama “Enna thangadina Madime” and “Oikla dina barodu” and children presented the programme “Tulu appena porlu” related to the glory of Tulu culture.
