Women Wing of Thiya Samaja Western Region holds Annual Cultural Programme

WELFARE OF THE SOCIETY IS POSSIBLE BY FOLLOWING RELIGIOUS PRACTICES: DIVYA KOTIAN

Mumbai, Feb. 22: “Religious programmes supplement the co-ordination of the society. This is the basis for forming traditional life with religious preaching. This paves a way for developing mutual understanding among us and development of the society is possible through this. We can have unity among all the people of the society and the guidance of seniors and welfare of the society is also possible through this”, said Divya R Kotian, the Executive President of Women Wing of West Zone.

Divya Kotian spoke these words in the annual haldi-kumkum and cultural programmes organized by the Women Wing of Thiya Samaja Mumbai association’s West Zone on Sunday evening at Sai Ganesh temple auditorium of Achambar Yadav Chaal of Jogeshwari (East).

Chandrashekhar R Belchada, the President of Thiya Samaja Mumbai inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp and presided over the function. He said, “These kinds of programmes are essential to cultivate devotion in us and to follow our traditional life. Mutual integration and development of our interest to lead the society are possible through this.

As a part of the programme, the Executive President of West Zonal Regional Committee – Gangadhar D Kalladi performed various religious rituals. Various dance programmes by women and children and cultural programmes were also performed during this function and prizes were distributed.

Salian, Narayana Salian, Eshwar Ail, Trustee and Executive President – Rohidas Bangera, K P Aravind, Editor of association’s magazine ‘Thiya Jyoti’ – Shridhar S Suvarna, Vice Executive President of West Zonal Regional Committee – Padmanabha A Suvarna, Hon. Secretary - B Chandrashekhar Salian, Joint Secretary – Babu K Kotian, Joint Treasurer – Prakash M Suvarna, member – Vittal K Bangera, Secretary of Women Wing of West Zone – Chandra Suvarna, Joint Secretary – Shobhalatha Salian, Joint Treasurer – Pushpalatha Kotian, members – Yashavanthi Uchil, Swapna Uchil, Suchitra Kotian, Mrs. Amin, Hemalatha Uchil, Executive President of East Zone – Babu K Belchada, President of Women Wing – Ujwala Chandrashekhar and office bearers and members were present.

Mrs. Amin and Akshatha Amin sang the prayer. The women members of West Zone offered flower bouquets to the dignitaries and celebrated haldi-kumkum programme by offering them to ladies. Sujatha Uchil, the Vice Executive President of Women Wing of West Zone welcomed the gathering. Divija Chandrashekhar compered the programme. Chandra M Suvarna, the Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
