Mangaluru (The Hindu): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Thursday, said there was no political vendetta in the government’s decision to go on an appeal, challenging the Karnataka High Court’s decision of scrapping 15 cases registered by the Lokayukta Police against former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa.
“The decision is based on the legal opinion,” the Chief Minister told presspersons here. Asked why the government did not go on appeal immediately after the High Court verdict and chose to appeal only after Mr. Yeddyurappa was appointed the state BJP chief, Mr. Siddaramaiah said it was because of the delayed legal opinion on the subject.
