Bengaluru, (DHNS): Union Human Resources Minister Prakash Javadekar, who was recently appointed by the BJP central leadership as party’s election incharge of Karnataka, on Sunday held a meeting with BJP’s elected representatives from Bengaluru to discuss preparations for the polls.

In the meeting attended by MLAs, MLCs and corporators from Bengaluru, Javadekar is said to have urged them to expedite the formation of booth committees especially in constituencies with large number of minority voters.

In another part of Bengaluru, JD(S) leader H D Deve Gowda reviewed the setting up of party’s booth level committees in BBMP jurisdiction. Gowda expressed his unhappiness with regard to the functioning of the BBMP. “It is embarrassing as we are supporting the Congress in running the BBMP,” he said.
