BOSCO YOUTH CELEBRATES GANDHI JAYANTI PLANTING TREES

Bengaluru, Oct. 3: Bosco Youth of Bangalore Archdiocese has celebrated Gandhi Jayanti pledging a Greener Nature on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation and an Apostle of Peace.

Around 41 young people took an active part in PRAYAS: A Mega Rural Plantation Drive organized by the Lions Club International, Region IV. The young people from Bosco Youth along with their animators participated in the plantation drive. The youth joined hands with Lions Club and planted over 1000 saplings at Kishore Farm, Manchanahalli, Chikkaballapur district about 60 km from Bangalore city.

It was yet another opportunity for the members of Bosco Youth who are guided by the Motto - Together Towards a Better World - to pledge towards a Greener Nature.

Fr. William D’Souza, the Regional Director of Bosco Youth, Karnataka, Fr. Arun Kumar, the Asst. Parish Priest of Don Bosco Church, Lingarajapuram, Bangalore, Fr. Anil D’Sa, the Youth Director of Bangalore Archdiocese, the founder of Eco Pals and Sr. Maria Rajalakshmi, the Director of Auxilium Youth were present for the occasion along with the youth.
