Bengaluru: St.Mary's Basilica feast first day novena-flag hoisting

Bengaluru: The novena a preparation for the feast of our Lady of good health at St. Mary’s Basilica began Monday, 29th August 2016. The first mass began at 5.30am with every half an hour masses continues in all the three languages. At 6.30am Archbishop offered a thanksgiving mass at St.Mary’s Basilica with senior and retired priests of Archdiocese.

In the evening first novena flag was blessed and hoisted. The flag with Our Lady image was blessed by Archbishop Bernard Moras and Sri. K J George, former Home Minister of Karnataka was the chief guest, who hoisted the flag blessed flag.

Thousands of Christians and people belongs to other faith had gathered in big number to profess and witness their faith in our lady of good health in tears by raising their loving slogan “AVE MARIA” with hands lifted in a symbolic gesture of surrendering themselves for her blessings.
