Bengaluru: The Archdiocese of Bangalore together with all the Bishops of Karnataka and the Karnataka United Christian Forum for Human Rights is shocked to hear about the sad and tragic incident that took place in Paravoor, Kollam, Kerala, in the wee hours of Sunday, killing more than 130 people and injuring severely around 350-400 devotees. We assure all the families of the departed our prayers for strength from God to bear their loss and a quick recovery for those injured in the hospitals. People at the sacred place had come to worship the Divine. May the Divine, provide the State, temple authorities and others, blessings so that at this moment they may feel God’s presence and take all necessary safety measures to avoid such tragedies in the future.

We pray God to bless all the families who have lost their near and dear ones and we share the pain of all those injured, some of them seriously. May the Lord grant peace to all departed persons and give to all those injured his loving care.
