We have reached the people across 30 districts in the state and considered their views and aspirations in the last three months before preparing the Vision 2025 document."

155 promises fulfilled

"We had 165 promises in our pre-poll manifesto. Now, we have fulfilled over 155 of those promises. It's been 70 years since we gained Independence and it's our duty to fulfil the vision of the makers of our Constitution," he added.

In September 2017, making of Vision-2025 project was launched with senior IAS officer Renuka Chidambaram as Chief Executive officer for the project.

The vision document is formulated through a participative and inclusive principle through broad-based consultations, incorporating both a 'top-down' and 'bottom-up' approach involving stakeholders from the urban and rural sectors, industry, academia, people's representatives, voluntary sector and civil society.

The exercise covered 14 sectors and gave a vision plan to agriculture and allied services, energy, governance, rural development, information technology and biotechnology, infrastructure, industrial development, tourism, employment and skill development, urban development and transportation, health and nutrition, education, law and justice, social justice and employment.
