Bengaluru (The Hindu): The panel was formed to rein in the Siddaramaiah government. mittee in 2014 after a section of ‘loyal’ Congress leaders raised objections to the chief minister taking important policy decisions without consulting the party.
The sources said the committee is likely to be revamped after the appointment of new president to KPCC.
Parameshwara’s second consecutive tenure as the State Congress chief ended in December last year. The party high command has asked him to continue in the post till it finds a replacement. Shivakumar and IT and BT Minister S R Patil are among the contenders for the post, the sources added.
Executive committee
The KPCC executive committee is scheduled to be held on April 16 in Bengaluru to discuss about the organisational issues. The committee is also likely to discuss about the party’s poor show in the recently-held elections to zilla and taluk panchayats and byelections to three Assembly constituencies.
