Bengaluru,(DHNS):The first draft of the Congress' election manifesto is ready and AICC president Rahul Gandhi will be invited to launch it once the draft is finalised, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Manifesto Committee chairperson M Veerappa Moily said. Moily presented the draft to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC chief G Parameshwara at a meeting that lasted over two hours.

"The first draft was examined and some new suggestions have come. I have given the committee a couple of days time to come up with any other suggestions and finalise the manifesto," Moily told reports.

Moily said Siddaramaiah and Parameshwara will request Rahul Gandhi to launch the manifesto. He, however, did not specify when the launch will be scheduled.

In a first, the manifesto will be divided into three parts - state-level, region-specific and district-wise - and will lay out a vision for Karnataka's growth for the next 25 years, Moily said. The 2018 manifesto will exceed the number of promises made in the 2013 manifesto (165), he added.
