Dakshina Kannada students fare well in CBSE exam

Mangaluru, (The Hindu): Students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bantwal, the two Kendriya Vidyalayas in the city, and private Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools in Mangaluru have fared well in the class 12 examination conducted last month. The results were announced on Saturday.

Of the 97 students who passed out from Lourdes Central School, Mangaluru, 20 have secured more than 90% marks. Reena Kishore and Abel Shibu topped with 484 marks, followed by Gavin Abner Pinto with 479.

All the 43 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya-1, Panambur, have passed the examination, with 14 scoring more than 90% marks, 17 scoring between 75% and 90%, and 12 scoring between 60% and 75%. S. Anumegha has topped with 476 marks, followed by Anjana Anna Poulose (475), Atul Kumar Maurya (473), Ashwini Nagaraj Shenoy (470), and Sudhanshu Moolya (469).


Similarly, all 43 students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bantwal, have passed. While 39 students have scored more than 75% marks, four have scored between 60% and 75% . Sareen Aiyappa K.K. topped with 474 marks, followed by Bhanu Prakash and Mahalinga Gautham Upadhyaya (both 472). Chandrakanth and Kshitij R. have secured 470 marks each.

At Kendriya Vidyalaya-2, Yekkur, Mangaluru, all 16 students have passed. Thany Chetan has topped with 453 marks, followed by Devarajan Iyer (440).

Of the 21 students from Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill, who passed, five have secured more than 75% marks while 16 have scored between 60% and 75%. Leander Stephen D’Souza has topped with 466 marks, followed by Simonne Letetia Pinto with 462.

Of the 22 students who have passed from Sharada Vidyanikethana Public School, Talapady, five have scored more than 90% marks, while 10 have secured between 80% and 90%. Shaazin Sheikh Shukoor topped with 467 marks, followed by Goury Poornima P. (463), Keerthana H.P. (461), Devika Menacheril (458), and Aditya Kumar Saroj (453).
