Shvamogga: (DHNS): The leader of Opposition in Legislative Council K S Eshwarappa has expressed his displeasure over the announcement of candidates for some constituencies by state BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, he said Yeddyurappa's announcement of candidates for some segments is not valid as the survey is still in progress. Even BJP president Amit Shah has made it clear during a press meet held in Kalaburagi on February 26.
The party high command will release the list of 224 candidates. He also made it clear that the party has not finalised the candidate for Shivamogga urban constituency. "But Yeddyurappa continues to announce candidates. Mediapersons should ask him the reason." He said the party is organising convention of backward classes on March 10 at Kudalasangama, Bagalkot, and at Kaginele in Haveri on March 25.
