Forest Minister Shankar to join Congress soon

Bengaluru,(DHNS): Forest Minister R Shankar, on Friday, said that he will officially join the Congress party soon.

He addressed reporters after offering puja to the Dasara elephants at the Mysuru Palace premises. Shankar, who won the Assembly election on a Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Party (KPJP) from Ranebennur, extended support to the JD(S)-Congress coalition while forming the government.

He said he will join the Congress on an auspicious day. "I have never spoken against the state government and the coalition government is stable," he added.
