Fr Vineeth George receives Best Citizens of India Award

Rev. Fr. Vineeth George, a Doctoral research scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology – Hyderabad was conferred with the ‘Best Citizens of India Award’ by the International Publishing House, the world’s most leading biographical specialists. He also got featured in their latest edition of ‘Pride of India’, that recognizes “ordinary citizens living extraordinary lives”.

Fr Vineeth, a university gold medallist, renounced in his mid-twenties, a secure and promising career as a Corporate Communications professional at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, a Navratna category PSU under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, in order to voluntarily embrace a life of service to humanity. After embarking upon this noble journey, he has worked in the remotest corners of India with the aim of uplifting the marginalized of the society. He has rendered his selfless service in such remote districts as Rewari in Haryana and Garhwa in Jharkhand. He is a past recipient of several national and international awards such as the Rashtriya Gaurav Puraskar, Idamas Foundation Award and Belaku Trust Award, in recognition of his contributions to the society.
