Gauri murder: SIT arrests one more

Bengaluru, (DHNS): The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder of journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh, arrested one person and detained two more for interrogation in Belagavi on Wednesday. Police sources confirmed that the SIT had picked up three people from the city; of which they arrested one and subjected the other two to interrogation. A person named Bharat is reportedly under arrest.

He is a resident of Sambhaji Galli Mahadwar Road in Belagavi police sources added. The SIT team has camped in the city for a couple of days to carry out investigations. Parushuram Waghmare, the prime accused who has been arrested by SIT was brought to the forest areas in Khanapur in Belagavi during July for inquiries. He had reportedly undergone firearm training here.
