Vittal: A poster has come in front of a few Hindu housesin Kanyana, in Bantwal constituency, from where the District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai is contesting. The posters said, “This is Hindu House. There is no entry to Congress who had supported conversion of Ganyasri through fake love. There are girl children in our house too..”

On November 9, 2016, the Vittal police had registered a missing case of Ganyasri (21), daughter of Sridhar Shetty, in Pilingula, in Kanyana. She was the student of a private college in Puttur. She went missing when her family was getting ready for her engagement.

According to Hindu activists, “The Congress leaders, who woo Muslims for vote, remember Hindu houses only during the election. All those who helped in conversion will be taught a lesson.”
