IndiGo to operate flights from Mangaluru to Bengaluru

Mangaluru, DHNS: IndiGo will start its flight operations to Bengaluru and Mumbai from Mangaluru starting May 1. Briefing media persons here, IndiGo chief commercial officer Sanjay Kumar said the new flights will not only strengthen domestic network, but also help to better serve the increasing demand in growing markets.

The airline will operate a 55-minute flight from Bengaluru to Mangaluru at 5.30 am and the return flight will start at 7 am. In the afternoon, the Bengaluru-Mangaluru flight will depart at 2.55 pm while the return flight will start at 4.20 pm.

The flight from Mumbai to Mangaluru will depart at 9.40 am and arrive at 11.30 am. The return flight from Mangaluru will start at 12.05 pm and reach Mumbai at 2 pm.

He said that the new services will further consolidate IndiGo’s position as the fastest growing airline in India, with its 907 daily flights, connecting 45 destinations across the country.

He said that the IndiGo will also commence its operations to New Delhi via Hyderabad and another late evening flight to Bengaluru by July-August. Stating that the IndiGo will explore international operations from Mangaluru, Kumar said that the IndiGo will operate its flight to Doha from Mumbai and Delhi from May 5.
