Bengaluru, (DHNS): The JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday said the second list of about 40 candidates for contesting the coming elections will be released in a week's time.

Speaking to reporters, he said unlike elections in the past, the party is announcing its candidates much in advance. This will help the candidates prepare for the polls, he added.

He reiterated that only H D Revanna and himself will be contesting the coming elections from his family. The JD(S) leader was speaking after holding a meeting with the party candidates announced in the first list released recently. Kumaraswamy said there is no confusion over the ticket distribution in the party.

"There are some minor issues. We will sort them out. The party has selected the candidates
after taking everybody into confidence," he added in reply to a question on the party facing rebellion in some constituencies. Earlier, noted film director Mahender joined the JD(S) in the presence of Kumaraswamy.
