Bengaluru, (DHNS): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah challenged Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda to contest and win from the Varuna constituency seat in Mysore-- "if he has the guts".
The CM said that his son Dr Yathindra would contest from the Varuna constituency in the upcoming Assembly polls "if the party gives him a ticket".
"I challenge Sadananda Gowda to contest and win against him if he has the courage," Siddaramaiah said.
"Why should I be afraid just because Sadananda Gowda is made in-charge of the constituency? What does he know about the constituency? In the last election, I have won by a margin of 32,000 votes. Just because Sadananda Gowda is made in-charge, will that change?" he asked media persons who met him.
"If it is so convenient for the BJP, let Sadananda Gowda contest, instead of someone else," he remarked.
