Udupi, (The Hindu): Paryaya Pejawar Mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swami has said that Lingayats should stay in Hindu religion and not to think about going out of it.
He told newsmen here: "As they (Lingayats) are the worshippers of Lord Shiva, they cannot claim themselves as non-Hindus. They are deeply rooted in the region and they are part of the religion."
The see also said that Brahmins are innocent and they would not commit any problems for Lingayats and Veerashaivas as it is being rumoured.
