Bengaluru, DHNS: For stuntman Raghava Uday’s family, the long wait ended with a shock on Wednesday afternoon at 3.32 pm.

The family members could not believe their eyes when they saw the partially decomposed body of the six-foot tall actor being fished out of TG Halli reservoir.

“Everybody loved his fit body. Now, that body has only proved fatal and been fished out and we have to carry it home. This is not what we wanted,” said Asha, Uday’s sister, who has been waiting along with her relatives for the body of her brother, at TG Halli since Monday.

“He was a loving and jovial man. He was not selfish. Had he seen any one of his dear ones drowning, he would have immediately gone back to save him or her. And now he has lost his life. Everybody should be ashamed as now no sorry can bring back my brother,” she said.

Another family member, who accepted the body at around 7.20 pm, said that Uday’s body will be kept at home till Anil’s body is also found. Then both the bodies will kept in an open ground for people to pay their respects after which, the last rites will be performed together.

The search for Uday’s body, heightened the hope of Anil’s family. One of Anil’s aunts, who did not want to be named or disturbed, only said: “It is very tragic. I want justice apart from Anil’s body at the earliest. None of the other family members are in any state to talk to any one.”
