PhD Degree awarded to Mrs. Malini K of St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: Mrs. Malini K, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, St Philomena College Puttur has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry for her thesis ‘Synthesis of Novel Morita – Bayles – Hellman Adducts from Unusual Activated Acrylates as Michael Acceptors and their Synthetic Transformations into Functionalized Heterocycles’ by Madras University. She did her research under the guidance of Dr. P Shanmugam, Senior Chief Scientist in Central Leather Research Institute, Madras.

 

During her research, she has published research articles in reputed international journals. She has also presented research papers in national and international seminars. She did her early education in Chidambaram of Tamilnadu, higher secondary and degree education in Chennai, post-graduation and MPhil in Madras University.
