Udupi: Priyanka Mary Francis, who is the current CEO of Udupi zilla panchayat, has been elevated to the post of deputy commissioner of Udupi district. She will be taking over the charge from T Venkatesh. The transfer order was issued by the state government on Tuesday.
Venkatesh has been posted as managing director of Mysugar Mill (Mysore Sugar Company Ltd.
An IAS officer of the 2009 batch, Priyanka Francis took charge as the CEO of Udupi ZP in November 2015. She was given the additional charge of acting DC after the transfer of the previous DC R Vishal.
Priyanka Francis is the fifth to take charge as DC of Udupi district after the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government came to power in 2013.
