Rain lashes parts of state

Bengaluru, (DHNS): A few places in the state received moderate to heavy rainfall on Wednesday night and on Thursday.

A good spell of rain, accompanied by thunder, lightning and heavy wind, lashed the Cauvery catchment area on Thursday. Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and parts of Hassan district experienced light to heavy rain on Thursday afternoon.

Hunsur, Periyapatna,
H D Kote taluks, Nagarahole and Bandipur National Park received good rain too.

Parts of Hagaribommanahalli and Hosapete taluks in Ballari district experienced drizzle on Thursday evening.

Hubballi-Dharwad received light showers for a few minutes on Thursday morning.

Parts of Uttara Kannada, Haveri, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu and Shivamogga recorded light to moderate showers. Rain has brought relief to coffee, areca and coconut growers.
