Bengaluru, (DHNS): Public Works Minister H D Revanna has drawn flak for throwing biscuits to people housed in a relief centre at Arkalgud taluk, Hassan district, on Monday. A video clipping of him throwing biscuit packets has gone viral on social media.

CITU leader Dharmesh said if the minister could not distribute the biscuits, he could have told the officials or the party workers to distribute it. By throwing the packets, he has insulted those who have sought refuge, he said. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said Revanna’s act was not out of arrogance and should not be taken otherwise. “While distributing the biscuits, there were large number of people there and there was no place for movement. However, he could have avoided throwing the biscuits,” he told reporters. The State BJP has condemned Revanna's act.
