Roshni Nilaya’s annual special NSS camp inaugurated

Mangaluru: The inaugural function of the annual special NSS camp of School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya was held at Aloysian Boys home Someshwar.

The camp will be held for seven days. Fr Dionysius Vaz, rector, St Aloysius Educational Institutions inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural address he said that youth are real change makers and can bring about a great change in the society.

Chief guest Vani V Alva, municipal commissioner, Ullal city municipal council in her address said that she was happy that the NSS unit will be working with the Ullal city also.

Dr Jenis Mary, vice-principal of the college presided over the function. Other guests who were present were Sr Benny, manager, Aloysian Boys Home, Someshwar, Rohith Sanctus, PASCHIM Re-Hab Chariatable Trust, Someshwar, Mahesh Kumar, Grade 1, PWD contractor and civil engineer, Udupi, Jyothi M Shetty, president, Lioness Club Mangaluru, Hema, secretary, Lions Club Mangaluru , Evelyn Benis, HOD-MSW, School of Social Work and Kishore Attavar, president, Roshni Alumni. NSS officer Prof Cecilia F Goveas welcomed the gathering and assistant NSS officer Sandeep U rendered the vote of thanks.
