Stay on probe against SMK continues

Published On : 28 Sep 2016

Bengaluru, DHNS: The stay granted by the Supreme Court on the petition filed by former chief minister S M Krishna in connection with part one of the Lokayukta report on mining continues.

The DH report on September 24, 2016, ‘Lokayukta’s mining report may return to haunt 3 ex-CMs’ had not categorically mentioned the stay on Krishna’s petition. The Special Investigation Team, in its impleading application before SC, had only sought to vacate the stay granted on two cases against former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Kumaraswamy had obtained a stay by the Karnataka High Court in these two cases, quoting the stay granted by the Supreme Court on Lokayukta police investigation against Krishna.
