Shivakumar Magada, Professor, Aquatic Biology, College of Fisheries, told presspersons here on Tuesday that jackfruit growers from Dakshina Kannada and other parts of the State would showcase their produce. Six farmers from the Jackfruit Growers Cooperative Society in Doddaballapur would bring jackfruits grown on old trees in their farm.

Kaje Vrukshalaya of Manchi would bring jackfruit ice cream, while Shivanna from Sukarayapatna near Chikkamagaluru would demonstrate the making of ‘jaffe’, the coffee power made using jackfruit. He would also demonstrate the way to make ‘chatnipudi’, manchurian and ‘halva’ using jackfruit seeds.
